Building and Maintenance Engineer (Technical Engineer)
Designs Electrical-Main and Mechanical/Civil installations for the plant. Spearheads projects assigned at Maintenance Department in accordance with professional engineering approach/knowledge. Responsible for Engineering Discipline for any project execution. Maintain the day-to-day facilities operations and maintenance. 1. Plan, design and estimate new projects assigned to Facilities. 2. Conduct investigation and analysis of existing facilities subject related to new projects. 3. Develop mechanical/civil systems for manufacturing equipment applications and plans using recognized industry standards and specifications. 4. Carry out system calculations and studies for mechanical/civil systems such as temperature, flow, pressure and level studies. 5. Design facility projects for operations and other major building improvements. 6. Research and develop planned enhancements for future mechanical equipment acquisitions, civil works and stay abreast with new technology and procedures. 7. Review, check and update all assigned project mechanical/civil installation, drawings in compliance with company design and specifications. These include; machine lay-outs, plans, designs & estimates, piping diagrams. 8. Hold people and functions accountable for resolving machine, product quality issues, identifying root cause, implementing corrective and preventative actions and performing effective verification activities. 1. Responsible in the implementation of annual Electrical/mechanical/civil system maintenance, servicing and inspection as scheduled (Internal and PEZA-OBO, DOLE, DOE). And assist in the monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors. 2. Monitor and determine abnormalities from any of the mechanical/civil utilities and equipment. 3. Responsible in the repair of mechanical/civil utilities equipment as assigned. 4. Report to Manager on any equipment problems and perform corrective action as required. 5. Escalate and consult problems not in the scope of standard procedures to immediate head. 6. Responsible in the preparation of materials for repair and preventive maintenance activities. 7. Responsible in the installation of electrical/mechanical/civil instruments (e.g. metering) or gadgets specifically for further improvements, monitoring and energy conservation. 8. Immediately responds to, and addresses any mechanical/civil facilities
